i'm glad i survived the second week of O's.
2 more papers, and we're done!

i started playing pet society on facebook yesterday, though i know very well i'm abit slow [;

wells, came across this article while reading The Straits Times just now.
this is the story i read from the newspaper and the results from my googling:

"Wayne Forrester, 34, attacked his wife Emma with a kitchen knife and a meat cleaver after she wrote on the social networking site that she wanted to meet other men.

The Old Bailey was told the couple, who had been together 15 years, had split up weeks earlier.

Ms Forrester changed her online profile to "single" four days after the tucker moved out of their home.

Forrester drove to the marital home in New Addington, near Croydon, south London, armed with a kitchen knife and a meat cleaver in the early hours of February 18.

Fuelled by cocaine and alcohol, he attacked his wife as she lay in bed, beating her, tearing out clumps of her hair, and stabbing her in the head and neck.

Neighbours who heard screaming called police, who found him sitting outside covered in blood, and he confessed he had killed her.

In a statement to police after the murder, he said: "Emma and I had just split up. She forced me out.

"She then posted messages on an internet website telling everyone she had left me and was looking to meet other men.

"I loved Emma and felt totally devastated and humiliated about what she had done to me."

Judge Brian Barker, the Common Serjeant of London, told him: "You committed a terrible act. There is no possible excuse or justification.

"This is a tragic killing and what you have done has caused untold anguish."

Relatives of the victim wept as the 34-year-old, who pleaded guilty to murder at an earlier hearing, was jailed for life with a minimum term of 14 years."

Miss Lewis said the couple had a "volatile" marriage and Mrs Forrester sometimes took two jobs to support herself and her husband, who was often out of work.

The relationship deteriorated further over Christmas last year and her husband finally moved out on Valentine's Day.

He began making telephone threats and her father Robert Rothery would often stay at home with her to look after her.

The day before the murder, Forrester rang her parents and complained about his wife's Facebook entry which he said "made her look like a fool".

Later their daughter rang them to tell them she was going to bed and bolting the front door.

The next morning neighbours heard crashing as the door was broken down and a woman's high-pitched cries for help.

When police arrived they found Forrester outside, and he held his hands out to be cuffed. His clothes and hands were covered in blood,

He said: "It is my wife's. She is in there. I have killed her."

The officers found her lying in a pool of blood, with a bloodstained kitchen knife beside her. They later also found a blood-stained meat cleaver.

Clumps of Mrs Forrester's long brown hair were found outside the bedroom and the bannister was broken.

The killer had previous convictions for theft and burglary dating back to the age of 15, the court heard.

In a victim impact statement, Mrs Forrester's sister Liza Rothery said her death had been "devastating" to her and parents Robert and Frances.

Her father felt guilty at his "inability to protect his daughter when she needed him", she said.

Miss Rothery added: "What on earth could Emma have done to result in such a brutal, callous attack on a defenceless woman?"

it was graduation day yesterday, and we're the GRADUANDS. LOL.

gladly, i didn't CRY, just teared because i don't like to attract attention (like___________). haha.
went out after that with WL, Baryong, YM, Belinda, Zhen Hao-the lame king, Jerald, Wilson and tuantuan[;
watched Housebunny after that-WL's recommendation.

sometimes, people tend to take people/things for granted but when they are gone, they're gone for good. they won't return/revive. when you want to apologise for all the things that you'd done wrong, you know it's too late and you REGRET.

yesterday was our last day of school, with the exception that we still have to go back for extra lessons. it was the last day of school and...and Jerald left his hand print on my left cheek! and it hurts! then mark did the same exact thing, except that it's softer. -o-

graduation day is on 10th oct, and class chalet is on 12th, 13th & 14th november.

this shall be a summary of the things i've done so far this week

Sunday

swim swim[;

i went to help out at the 2008 Aviva Ironman 70.3 Singapore at East Coast Park. wells, i finally got to know how far East Coast Park stretches-it took me 1hour to reach my destination and i didn't start walking from the end.
the first event was swimming, followed by cycling and running. the first man completed the race in 3hours55min40s, and the first lady completed the race in 4hours25mins43s. WHOA!
it was soooooooooo fun, but extremely tiring as well.

i want to learn first aid(:

Monday
we only managed to get back our POA papers despite the one week long wait. my overall score was 70 on the dot. i was extremely disappointed with myself because i thought the paper was quite easy and i expected an A1. i made up my mind to aim for 80marks and above for the subjects i want to get A1, because i got to know that MOE will actually limit the number of candidates to get distinction ;[ so it's much harder for me to get maaaaany A1s now, that i have to compete with students from better schools.

had about 6 periods with Ms Cai today. RISE lessons were fun. heeeees(:

TODAY!!!!!
57/105 for chemistry. barely a pass. sadddddd.

i scored 45/60 for EL paper 1 (overall). that wasn't what i'd expected, and i thought i haven't done that well, but i shouldn't doubt the teacher's marking. hope that i did as well for my EL paper 2 ;D

i failed my social studies, ~~again~~. and i know i won't pass my geography either. really have to pull up my smelly socks.

i'm almost done with ONLY the Emaths cluster papers. chem and physics incomplete, plus revision for other subjects, especially the humanties. i hate talking school work, but i don't know why i'm talking about it ;[ ironical.

prelim results are out on Monday. i know i will fail my physics and there will be no distinctionssss. just who to blame? i'm not hardworking, neither am i gifted.

my father has been hurrying my to make anappointment with the dentist to have my braces on. and i thought of Belinda. LOL.
i want to have straight teeth with NO gaps in between. i want to smile like ;D

teachers' day celebration today. i especially like the performance that the teachers put up. it's so hilarious! MISS LIU IS SOOOOO CUTE! ;D

have tonnes of work to be completed by this short one week holiday. i know i've been repeating this, but O's is around one month away. i have to constantly remind myself so as to not let this slip my mind.
a really short break during the holiday and that's all for me.

well, i did manage to complete the whole paper on time, despite having fever. but i don't know how to do the question on cumulative curve.

i hate fever now, although i used to like it when i'm younger because down with fever=absent from school.

it's friday, again.
the physics paper today sucked. i have totally no idea how i'm going to sit for the science paper in 1months time.

social studies paper.
damn my brain. i HATE memorising things, especially when i know i can't and yet i force it up into my brain.

call it pea-sized, whatever.
i'm not a computer, nor can i just remember anything i want as and when i like.

my prelim results will be a big disappointment and reflect how much i need to catch up.
no more lazing around for me, and i think i have to start planning for my september holidays.

i don't want and i CAN'T afford to waste anymore time.

got back our O's MT results and got A2. unexpected, though. initially thought i will get at most a B. heh.
went to study with yiwen at the library today. some heartless people used her EZ-link card which she had lost and used it to borrow books. guess what? the oustanding fees got accumulated to $266.99. 8 BOOKS. he/she have not returned the books for more than 1 year. freak.

a few more days to Prelims. prepared? NO. tonnes of work not done.
